The Center's Mission Statement:: The Eblen Center for Social Enterprise is designed to bring together the best practices of the public and private sector in establishing programs and outreach to better serve and enhance our region.
Non-profit Self Reliance: Eblen Charities is not changing it's mission. The Center for Social Enterprise is a 72,000 square foot multiuse facility near the Buncombe/Henderson/Transylvania County line. Incorporating business principles and innovative non-profit strategies the center will address and resolve issues Eblen Charities is dedicated to confronting in our region.; With its market-based strategies the center not only encourages donated wealth, but will also actively encourages that new wealth be used to assist those in need.; The Center for Social Enterprise includes an Event Center to accomodate up to 1000 people. The Event Center will attract additional conventions/tourism to the area; rented to non-profit and for-profit meetings, conferences, and fund raising events. It will be a state of the art facility meeting all mutlimedia needs. Eblen Charities has completed feasibility studies validating the need for such a facility.
