NBA All-Pro and NASCAR analyst and team owner Brad Daugherty is known for his many endeavors and accomplishments. Throughout his storied career, he has been acknowledged as one of the top high school, collegiate, and professional basketball players in history.   As a businessman and entrepreneur he has established numerous companies.   In returning to the world of sports, Brad stepped into the world of NASCAR and soon was recognized as one of their top broadcasters and recently as an owner of his own

Sprint Cup race team. But Brad’s resume is far from finished as we his friends and neighbors in western North Carolina know very well.

Brad’s outreach and service to our community and those less fortunate play as large a role in his legend as does any of the other roles he plays.

This Wednesday October 12th,  Brad’s signature event returns to the Cliffs at Walnut Cove as the Brad Daugherty Fall Golf Invitational begins its seventh year of play.  This best ball event will field 18 four player teams as they vie for the gross and net tournament championships.

“This is something that I look forward to each year,” says Brad. “It is an honor to be part of this wonderful community and the Eblen Charities. Being honorary chair of the Center for Social Enterprise and the tens of thousands of families we touch each year makes what we do all that more important. The tournament has grown each year thanks to our sponsors and all the teams who are joining  us again this year. It is wonderful to know that what we do here in these two days has such an effect on those in are community in their times of need.”

The festivities begin for the tournament on Tuesday night with a reception for our sponsors, teams, friends, and supporters  at Walnut Cove beginning at n at 6:30 PM and will include a live auction led by Brad featuring golf packages, art work, and other items to help light up the night.
