Headlock on Hunger:
Led by National Chairman Jim Ross, WWE Hall of Fame broadcaster, Fox Sports contributor and creator of The Ross Report podcast, and National Vice-Chair Beth Copeland (WWE Hall of Fame Inductee and four-time world champion Beth Phoenix) Headlock on Hunger is a national initiative that brings together the wrestling community as well as public, private, and sports organizations to help provide food for children who are dealing with hunger at home.
One out of five children in our country do not have enough to eat and many times the only meals they receive are the ones they receive at school. When the holidays or other times away from school arrive, far too many children face the chance of going hungry until they are back in class.
An outgrowth of the Arby’s / Eblen Joyfull Home for the Holidays and the Ingles / Eblen Food for Thought Program, Headlock on Hunger assists in filling the gap during those times the students are away from school has provided hundreds of thousands of meals since its inception in the fall of 2014.
“We are honored to have Dan here for Headlock on Hunger this spring and to be able to share this great event with everyone who is looking for insight and inspiration on leadership and how to be more effective in our organizations, businesses, and in our personal lives,” states Bill Murdock, executive director of Eblen Charities. “Dan has been a long-time friend and part of Headlock on Hunger since its beginning and having him here for the business community at A-B Tech on Friday night and the wrestling community at Enka High School on Saturday will be an event that we certainly will never forget.”
