Heroes for Hope

The Heroes for Hope program brings a different and creative aspect to bringing assistance to families in western North Carolina who are fighting illnesses and disabilities. This original concept developed by renowned artist Jackson Guice, who is best known for his work on Superman, Disney’s Toy Story, and the Little Mermaid brings artists, athletes, musicians, and businesses leaders together to raise funds and bring a greater awareness of the needs of the children and families that the Eblen-Kimmel Charities serve.

Led by Super Bowl XXXVII champion quarterback, Brad Johnson and artist Jackson Guice, tens of thousands of dollars have been raised with the help of University of North Carolina and Cleveland Cavalier basketball star Brad Daugherty, Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, country music artists Colin Ray, Anita Cochran, world wrestling champions including Nikita Koloff, George Scott, The Rock, Abe Jacobs, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Jack Brisco, and Duke University broadcaster Bob Harris.

Others have included football greats Roman Gabriel and Mickey Marvin, broadcaster Bill Rosinski, television stars June Lockhart, Adam West, and Lou Ferigno, Marvel Comic artists John Romita Jr., George Ramirez, and Trent Von Eeden , former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion James “Bonecrusher” Smith, World Wrestling Entertainment also plays a vital part of the outreach of Heroes for Hope.

Funds are raised through direct donations and events such as the Heroes for Hope 10 K Walk. Heroes for Hope provides an opportunity for all who wish to be involved the opportunity to be a hero to someone less fortunate and provide most welcome hope.
